Dog University
For Canine College Graduates
Dog University
Once you have completed our Canine College course, you can take your training even further on our Dog University course.
This is the second of our progression courses, after Canine College. There is no age limit to this course but as this is a progression course aimed at furthering the training you have already achieved with your dog, you must have completed our Canine College course.
What Is Dog University?
Dog University is the second of our progression courses designed for puppies/dogs who have attended both our Puppy School and Canine College courses.
As with all our training, Dog University will use only kind and ethical training techniques that are fun and easy for both humans and canines - remember though, only practice makes perfect! There are no harsh methods used and such methods won’t be allowed in class.
During the course you will learn new exercises, develop, progress and improve your dog’s existing training and strengthen the relationship and bond you have with your dog. Some of the topics covered in Dog University include:
Doorway manners
New Tricks and Brain Games
Loose Lead Walking Enhancement Activities
Consent Based Handling (including Chin Rest & Muzzle training)
Middle
Emergency Stop
Introduction to Scent Work
More recall games
Send to Bed
Manners around food
Counter-surfing (jumping up at worktops)
Send Around
Continued stay and wait improvements
Fun obedience and confidence building exercises
How is the course structured?
The course is a 6 week tutor-led course in a similar format to Puppy School and Canine College. Each class lasts 1 hour and during each class you'll be taught a number of exercises to help your dog shine even more than they already do! The course is run with no more than 6 dogs meaning more individual attention and support for you and your dog.
Helpful handouts are provided each week to help you practice between classes and your dog will receive a CERTIFICATE and ROSETTE on completion of the course!

The price for a group, face to face Dog University course is:
